**SpaceX Launches 28 Starlink Satellites from California; Falcon 9 Booster Achieves Fourth Successful Landing**
**VANDENBERG SPACE FORCE BASE, California** – SpaceX has successfully deployed 28 new Starlink internet satellites into low Earth orbit from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The mission, executed by a Falcon 9 rocket, further expands the company’s rapidly growing broadband constellation.
The Falcon 9 lifted off carrying the payload, and its first-stage booster, identified as B1097, completed a successful return to Earth. The booster landed precisely on the autonomous droneship “Of Course I Still Love You,” stationed in the Pacific Ocean, marking its fourth successful flight. This particular booster had previously supported the launch of the Sentinel-6B satellite and two prior Starlink missions.
Following the separation of the first stage, the Falcon 9’s upper stage continued its ascent, deploying the 28 Starlink satellites into their target orbit approximately one hour after liftoff.
This launch contributes to SpaceX’s already extensive Starlink network, which now boasts over 9,000 operational satellites. In total, the company has launched more than 10,000 Starlink satellites over the past 6.5 years. The mission also represents the 156th Falcon 9 launch in 2025, with over 70% of these missions dedicated to deploying Starlink spacecraft.
